Sunday, 11 October 2026 | 1:00–2:00 p.m. | Live Online Masterclass
Part 2 of The Science Masters Agricultural Science IIS 2027 Masterclass will focus on the second half of the Individual Investigative Study — moving from results and data processing through to analysis, conclusions, reflection and the final report.
The IIS is worth 100 marks — 25% of your Leaving Certificate Agricultural Science grade, so this session will focus on how to present and analyse your investigation effectively and avoid losing valuable marks in the final write-up.
We will work through:
Presenting raw and processed results clearly
Tables, calculations and appropriate graphs
Means, rates, percentages and other relevant data processing
Identifying patterns, trends and anomalies
Interpreting results rather than simply describing them
Linking results back to the research question and hypothesis
Drawing evidence-based conclusions
Evaluating the investigation and identifying limitations
Suggesting realistic improvements
Reflecting on the investigation and what the results mean in an agricultural context
Referencing and finalising the complete IIS report
Final checks to help minimise marks being lost
Students will receive a detailed PDF masterclass booklet, including checklists and model examples, to use during the session and when completing their own IIS.
The masterclass will take place live on Google Meet and will also be fully recorded, so students who cannot attend live can watch the complete session afterwards.
Date: Sunday, 11 October 2026
Time: 1:00–2:00 p.m.
Location: Online via Google Meet
Includes: Masterclass PDF + full recording
Suitable for Leaving Certificate Agricultural Science students completing the 2027 Individual Investigative Study (IIS).
Part 1 is not required to attend Part 2.
