Saturday, 10 October 2026 | 12:00–1:00 p.m. | Live Online Masterclass
Part 2 of The Science Masters Chemistry in Practice 2027 Masterclass will focus on the second half of the investigation and, most importantly, how to turn your experimental work and results into a strong final report.
The Chemistry in Practice Investigation is worth 200 marks — 40% of your Leaving Certificate Chemistry grade — so this session will focus on the areas where careful presentation, analysis and scientific explanation really matter.
We will work through:
Recording and presenting primary data clearly
Tables, calculations and appropriate graphs
Analysing results and identifying patterns and trends
Replicates, anomalies and experimental uncertainty
Drawing evidence-based conclusions
Linking conclusions back to the research question and hypothesis
Identifying limitations and realistic improvements
Reflection and Scientific Literacy
Structuring and finalising the complete Chemistry in Practice report
Final checks before submission
Students will receive a detailed PDF masterclass booklet to use during the session and when completing their own report.
The masterclass will take place live on Google Meet and will also be fully recorded, so students who cannot attend live can watch the complete session afterwards.
Date: Saturday, 10 October 2026
Time: 12:00–1:00 p.m.
Location: Online via Google Meet
Includes: Masterclass PDF + full recording
Suitable for Leaving Certificate Chemistry students completing the 2027 Chemistry in Practice Investigation.
Part 1 is not required to attend Part 2.
