Part 2 of the Science Masters Biology In Practice Masterclass focuses on the later stages of the new Senior Cycle AAC/BIP investigative reports, with a strong emphasis on scientific data handling, analysis and report structure.

These live online masterclasses are designed to support students as they continue developing their investigative reports and scientific writing skills in line with the current Senior Cycle Biology specifications.

This session will focus on:
• Data collection and presentation
• Constructing tables and graphs correctly
• Calculations and quantitative analysis
• Interpreting trends and patterns in data
• Writing scientifically structured conclusions
• Evaluation, limitations and improvements
• Scientific literacy and report communication
• Referencing and report formatting
• Common weaknesses students should avoid

The workshops will include:
• Live explanation and walkthroughs
• Investigation examples across Biology
• Guidance on scientific structure and analytical writing
• Opportunities for students to ask questions about their own investigations
• Discussion of strong quantitative and graph-based approaches

These sessions are intended to help students build stronger investigative, analytical and scientific communication skills while developing confidence approaching the new AAC/BIP investigative reports.

Sessions will take place live on Google Meet.

Recordings will also be available for students who cannot attend live.
